Need of Men’s rights arise when Men have no rights of anything compared to women, and rampat misuse of “pro-women” laws, supported by the biased Indian legal system. specially, the laws such as Section 498A, PWDVA(Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005), 307, 312, 354, 375, 376, 377 of the Indian Penal Code, etc., have often been misused to extort men. According to Men’s rights activists, most cases filed under these sections are false, filed false cases just to harass men, most cases endup in financial settlement or acquittals. MRA’s argued that these laws were biased against men and that they were being used to unfairly target, harass and punish innocent men.

The men’s rights movement in India is a diverse group with different goals and opinions. However, some common goals of the movement include:

1. Gender-neutral laws:

The men’s rights movement in India believes that gender-neutral laws should be enacted to ensure equal rights and protection to men and women.

2. Protection against false accusations

We in India argue that men are often falsely accused of crimes such as rape and domestic violence, and that the legal system should provide better safeguards against such false allegations.

3. Shared parenting rights

We in India advocate for shared parenting rights, arguing that fathers should have equal rights to custody and visitation of their children after a divorce.

4. Protection against harassment and abuse

We in India also believe that men should have legal protection against harassment and abuse, including at the workplace.

5. Awareness and education

The men’s rights movement in India also aims to raise awareness about men’s issues and promote education on gender-related topics, including gender roles, masculinity, and male mental health.

Those who dedicated their life and fighting for Men’s rights in India faced criticism from others, when some started to collect money in the name of Helping them, some started to claim names instead working for the cause. Many vested interest claim Men’s rights exists before 2000, but none of their claim justified or proved with any activities of struggle/help for men or proofs. Some also publish articles/blogs/books to claim that Men’s rights movement started from their city without giving any evidence, specially from Bangalore/Delhi/Calcutta. Some are using it to make money from Innocent men already trapped in various litigations.
