How can I protect myself from false 498A accusations in the future as I am getting married?
Do the following :
- Keep calm.
- Keep your parents calm.
- Collect as much evidence as you can.
- If it looks coming, get hold of a lawyer a trustworthy one and get a legal counseling. Don’t listen to any tom dick and harry and please do not search for answers on Google. :P. come back safe and then share your experience!
- Post supreme Court ruling in 2014, police can’t arrest you uninformed. If they do they will land up in trouble. know your rights. (trust me this is a huge breather!!!). and for your encouragement and to lift your morale just to let you know after the Supreme Court ruling there is 95% drop in arrests.
- Keep 15000 rs for each family member separate for anticipatory bail. it might be handy if things doesn’t go as you wish. apply for anticipatory bail on time.
- Bingo!! so far so well. Now relax and fight the case on merit.
All the best!
To bring you more peace-
